Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley is one of Africa's most renowned lakes. It has been home to numerous well known naturalists, conservationists, and filmmakers. It is also home to over 1500 hippos and 400 different species of bird, making it a perfect destination to see wildlife. Unfortunately it also comes with alarming dangers: Several fishermen and tourists have been killed there by Hippos. Throughout Africa as many as 500 people have been killed by Hippos in a year.
