People in these photos are fortunate to be living in relatively peaceful times although their autocratic and corrupt government still creates a feeling of uncertainty. We’ve always been impressed when traveling in developing countries to experience how friendly and helpful people can be in spite of their difficult lives. It is a tribute to their humanity and makes clear how much we share with everyone whatever our race, religion, or nationality. At the most meaningful level, we all want happiness, and freedom from fear and distress.
