December, 2019 - We spent the Christmas and New Year holidays in Cambodia. This was the cool season yet it reached 92 degrees on Christmas day. All the remaining days were the same with unrelenting sun, no clouds, and no rain. This made for very dusty conditions. We spent eight days in and around Siem Reap, mostly visiting the temples of Angkor War and traveling around the surrounding countryside in a tuk tuk, a small motorcycle attached to a two wheeled cart for carrying passengers. The tuk tuk is the most efficient way to get around in the heavy traffic. We were fortunate to find a driver who spoke reasonably good English so we hired him to take us around for each of the days we were there.
